We can help you to determine if micro-follicular transplantation is the right choice for you. This method has traditionally been more successful solving men's hair loss than women's. This is due to the fact that women often experience hair loss in a more diffused manner.
Hairs are harvested from the donor site which is from the back and sides of the head. Since there is an overabundance of permanent hairs in these areas, removal does not impact your look. Sutures will be used to close the donor site. The suture will be hidden under the hair in the back and the sides; it will be removed 10 days following the procedure. If you have shorter hair, the sutures may be more visible.
This procedure takes between 3 to 5 hours to complete. During the procedure, hairs will be moved from your donor site to the areas of your scalp that are thinning or balding. We will make certain that care will be taken to complete the procedure within the shortest time possible to prevent hair attrition. Hair attrition occurs when some of transplanted hair “dies-off” before it is transplanted to the scalp. Procedures lasting longer than 6 hours result in higher hair attrition.
Hair loss in its most common form is known as pattern baldness or “androgenetic alopecia” which results in hair loss on top of the head. It is considered a degenerative, progressive problem. Hair transplants to the scalp are a widely used hair restoration procedure. At Ultra Hair Solutions Clinic, we use a unique combination of micro-follicular unit and multi-unit grafting techniques to transplant as much as three times the number of hairs than a standard follicular unit. You can look forward to having a natural look with fewer procedures.
While this can provide a permanent solution, it can be determined if you are a good candidate by coming into our clinic for an assessment. Contact us to set up a free consultation.
